Garden – Milan Halada

Prague

The father of Milan was rock gardening at this very romantic place which is very improved now. Here in an old limestone quarry with natural outcrop with steppe flora. Inside the quarry canyon is modern crevice garden outcrops with a rich collection of small alpines and large scree-like areas with dry-loving plants. There is a northern cliff with Ramonda and Haberlea species, small woodland with Hepatica transsylvanica, and one large naturally looking pool. A good collection of the Genus Daphne is here and well-made troughs filled with different authors. Rare dwarf conifers are shown together with a good selection of the smallest shrubs.
