Garden – Vojtěch Holubec

Suchdol, Prague

Vojtech loves natural geographically divided rock gardens. He belongs to the founders of crevice garden constructing using flat layers. When he was looking for a source of suitable flat stones, he found excellent limestone blocks in an old quarry. The beauty of mossy large blocks convinced him to use blocks instead flat layers. He purchased 4 big trucks and together with his son David they constructed stratigraphically RG using the same principles as when using flat layers, most of it in 2001. In addition, he has a travertine/tufa RG and volcanic red porous lava part. Recently was constructed vertical tufa wall at the northern corner of his garden. His miniature lake is very naturally included in his massive outcrop. A large collection of witches-broom conifers can be seen.

He grows mainly wild plants of his own collecting.
